Why Do We Do What We Do?

Every choice leaves a mark -- whether we see it or not.

I Found Your Shorts

What we pick up says more than what we lost.

I take this ...

This isn’t a résumé, no list of acclaim,

No trophies, no titles, no fortune or fame.

It’s raw and it’s real — a rhythm, a roar,

A voice forged in fire, on canvas and floor.

Raised where the mats met the concrete’s cold kiss,

I learned from the crowd what timing is bliss. The ropes taught me rhythm, the silence taught grace, Between every slam, I found my own place.

Not in the win, not in the loss,

But in echoes that linger, in lines that emboss. My voice body-slams every whisper of doubt, My pen hits with force, knocks fear clean out.

The mic is my pulpit, my warzone, my truth, My confessional booth since the days of my youth. This is my story, my reason, my rite — This is why I write. This is why I fight. This is my rhythm. This is my light.

and create this...

Jamak Golshani — TEDxYouth@GranvilleIsland Talk: Voice, Creativity, Through Connectivity I’ve lived a journey from childhood in war-torn Tehran, to immigrating to Vancouver, to working in technology education. My path has been full of challenges, resilience, and mentors who reminded me: “Man is the architect of his environment.” Through struggle, healing, and rediscovering my purpose, I’ve learned that broken people need mentors, and that careers today require more than tradition — they require creativity, resilience, and connection. 👉 Read more to see the full story of how I overcame hardship, rebuilt my purpose, and dedicated myself to helping others find their path.
